How Analyze was Used
“Extraneous tissue with signal intensities similar to neural tissue or cerebrospinal fluid, such as skin and subcutaneous lipid, was removed from the segmented images using commercial software (Analyze 4.0 for PC …) to avoid it being counted as neuronal tissue in the final volumetric analysis.”
