What is Analyze?

Analyze is a robust research software for advanced biomedical imaging visualization, manipulation and measurement. It has been carefully designed to provide an intuitive and facile interface that allows full exploration of biomedical imaging data. The software features integrated modules that provide access to complementary tools for fully interactive multi-dimensional display, processing, segmentation, registration and measurement of biomedical imaging modalities. Who uses our software?

Analyze can be used by anyone who needs to process biomedical images (including MR, CT, microCT, PET, SPECT, Ultrasound, etc.) as part of their research. Our user base includes physicians, scientists, professors, and graduate students at the world’s top medical centers, universities, pharmaceutical companies, biotech companies, medical device companies, and contract research organizations.

Who develops Analyze?

Analyze is developed by the Biomedical Imaging Resource (BIR) at Mayo Clinic. The BIR is a core biomedical imaging research facility, dedicated to the advancement of research in the biomedical imaging and visualization sciences. The BIR has been supporting physicians and researchers at Mayo Clinic with the development of novel image analysis techniques and advanced imaging technology for over 30 years.

What is AnalyzeDirect?

AnalyzeDirect is the exclusive global distributor of Analyze. We provide both sales support and technical assistance to anybody engaged with Analyze. Since the company’s inception in 1999 our purpose has been to serve the global imaging research community by providing tools that allow scientists to realize their research goals and conduct better research.

What data formats can be loaded into Analyze?

Analyze supports over 45 file formats including DICOM and common radiological and neurological file formats such as Analyze7.5 and NIfTI. Both programs also provide utilities to load raw image data, should you happen to be working with a format not natively supported by the program. Can somebody help me install Analyze 14.0?

Can I use Analyze 14.0 as soon as I download it?

No, you need to request a license file for Analyze 14.0 before you can use the program. After installing Analyze 14.0, run the program. When prompted, click Run License Manager. Go to the License tab and click the Request License button. Complete the license request form and click Send Request.

Your license request will be processed during business hours, Monday to Friday 8:00am to 6:00pm CST. Once your license has been generated, you will be notified via email.

What do I do to set up a free trial?

Setting up a free trial is easy! Simply complete the short form and then download and install Analyze 14.0. Once installation is complete, request a license using the Analyze License Manager and we will send you a trial license. To get access to a free trial of the program click here.

Can I try Analyze 14.0 before I purchase a license?

How do I get a license file for Analyze 14.0?

To obtain a license file you need to submit a license request:

  • Run Analyze 14.0.
  • If you do not have a valid license, an Analyze Validation Error will be returned. Click Run License Manager. If you have a valid license, Analyze 14.0 will open. Right-click in the workspace and select License Manager.
  • Go to the License tab and click Request License.
  • Complete the license request form and click Send Request.

Your license request will be processed during business hours, Monday to Friday 8:00am to 6:00pm CST. Once your license has been generated, you will be notified via email.

How do I install a license file?

Once your license file has been created, you will be sent a notification via email. This email contains instructions on how to install your Analyze 14.0 license. Follow the instructions to install the license file.

What do I do when my trial license file expires?

When your trial license file expires, you will need to make a purchase decision. Go ahead and get in touch with your account representative to discuss how you can move forward with Analyze 14.0 and keep using the software in your research.

What kinds of licenses are available?

We offer two types of licenses: node-locked and floating. For more information please visit the Licenses page.

I’ve been a customer for a while and my license file has expired. Why?

Once you purchase the software, licenses are issued in 12-month increments. This allows you to switch to a new or upgraded system to run Analyze on at no additional charge.

What are the terms and conditions for purchasing an Analyze license?

The terms and conditions under which Analyze 14.0 is licensed can be found in our End User License Agreement.

What is a maintenance agreement?

A Maintenance Agreement is an annual contract purchased with an Analyze license. A Maintenance Agreement is the best way for users to get the most out of the software. Maintenance agreements provide users with the following benefits:

  • Free upgrades to any new version of the software released within the contract year
  • Unlimited priority phone and email based technical support
  • Application-specific protocol generation
  • Up to 3 months of at-home Analyze access
  • Discounted fees for any Analyze Training Workshop

I have an older version of Analyze. How do I upgrade?

To upgrade to the latest version of the software contact our sales team at sales@analyzedirect.com. If you’re unsure about whether or not the latest version of Analyze will provide any benefit over your current version, we encourage you to try the free trial of the latest version before making a decision. To access documentation for older versions of the software please complete a Support Request  form and a member of the support team will follow up with you.

Is Analyze FDA approved?

Analyze is not FDA approved. The software is licensed for use for research purposes only.

AnalyzeDirect makes no representation that Analyze is a clinically approved medical device, and users understand and accept that any analysis and visualization data obtained using Analyze may not in any way be used for clinical purposes. Analyze must not be used for any purpose other than research. Each license to Analyze is issued with a corresponding license agreement which is either accepted or declined during the initial use of the software. If declined, the user cannot use Analyze. If accepted, the following clause of the agreement referring to research use is also accepted:

You may only use the software product for research purposes. The United States Food and Drug Administration 510K approval has NOT been applied for nor received for clinical use of the software product in a clinical setting.
