How Analyze was Used
“The automated keratocyte counting algorithm [Patel et al. 2001, 1999], by using the AnalyzeAVW software [Hanson et al. 1997, Robb and Hanson 1990] incorporated a number of filtering [Jain 1990], histogram expansion [Jain 1990], and and morphology operations [Hohne and Hanson1992] to produce a binary, segmented image of objects from a single frame in a confocal scan of the human cornea.”
