“Pre-clinical HU density ranges were then applied to segmented lungs for the quantitative assessment of parenchymal lesions. Normo-aerated tissue [−860 HU; −435 HU] and poorly-aerated tissue [−435 HU; +121 HU] were defined and expressed as % of total lung volumes. Finally, 3D renderings were generated by using the Analyze software (Analyze 12.0).”
