How Analyze was Used
“The right femurs were analyzed by microCT (PerkinElmer Quantum GX micro CT Imaging System; PerkinElmer, Billerica, MA, USA). Datasets were reconstructed using PerkinElmer Quantum microCT software (https://www.perkinelmer.com/lab-products-and-services/resources/in-vivo-imaging-software-downloads.html#Quantum). Analyze v. 12.0 (https://analyzedirect.com/analyze12-support) was used to measure BMD. The following parameters were calculated to evaluate bone microstructure: mean BMD, mean trabeculae BMD, mean cortical BMD, trabecular thickness (Tb.Th), endocortical periplasm (Ec.Pm), total area (Tt.Ar), trabecular separation (Tb.Sp), trabecular number (Tb.N), marrow area (Ma.Ar), skeletal mass index (SMI), cortical volumetric bone density (Conn.D), cortical thickness (Ct.Th), cortical porosity (Ct.Po), trabecular bone volume fraction (BV/TV), cortical area (Ct.Ar), and periosteum perimeter (Ps.Pm).”
