How Analyze was Used
“Extracranial tissue with similar signal intensity as neural tissue/CSF, such as skin, muscle, subcutaneous lipid and other non-neural tissues, were removed from the segmented images using commercial software (Analyze 4.0 for Windows) so as not to be counted as neural tissue in the final volumetric analysis.”
