“AnalyzeDirect (Overland Park, KS) was used to measure hematoma volumes for initial and follow-up CTs. The hematoma is characterized by density (30–80 Hounsfield units) relative to the surrounding, less-dense brain tissue. HE was calculated as the absolute difference in hematoma volume between interval CT scans.”
