“Full color 4,800 dpi (~5.3 μm/pixel) TIFF images were generated of each bone slice using a high-resolution flatbed scanner (UMAX 2100XL, Dallas, TX), and the bone-soft tissue and soft tissue-air interfaces were digitized using Analyze 6.0 image analysis software.”
