How Analyze was Used
“Volumes of interest (VOIs) were outlined on the MRI using a probabilistic atlas and applied to the corresponding BP maps using the Analyze software. We defined the SN on MRI slices were clearly visible, but as its volume is small compared with PET resolution, anatomical definition was imprecise when coregistering the BP map to the MRI. To account for this inaccuracy, we use the term area of SN.”
