“BMD of the samples was measured using biomedical imaging analysis software (Analyze 12.0, AnalyzeDirect Inc., Stilwell, KS, USA). The total mean BMD value of the sternum including the cortical and trabecular bone was 131.57 ± 10.14 mg/cm3. The difference in HU between the implant hole and peripheral bone was measured in each group of bone density tests and subdivided into coronal (1 mm distance from the upper surface), middle (5 mm distance), and apical (9 mm distance) areas. The region of interest was identified as the surrounding bone to a distance of 1 mm from the surface of the hole, and it was measured 10 times per group.”
