How Analyze was Used
“Regions of interest (ROI) were manually determined in the right and left hemispheres to encompass striatum and cortex using Analyze™ 9.0 (Biomedical Imaging Resource, Mayo Clinic, USA). These regions were chosen as they are the most commonly affected regions in this stroke model. ROI templates were applied to each scan that were equally sized for cortex or striatum and positioned equidistant from the midline in respective regions and hemispheres. The vascular volume fraction (VVF) of each hemisphere was the sum of the cortical and striatal ROIs for that hemisphere, and represented a fraction of the total vascular volume.”
