How Analyze was Used
“Scans were exported to Analyze 12.0 software (AnalyzeDirect) for further analysis. The cortical region of interest was contoured on the exterior perimeter of each slice. At the same time, trabecular scans were contoured about the inner cortical circumference in an area located 180μm distal to the growth plate. The segmentation values for cortical bone were set at 0.8/½60, and analysis was done with a total of 102 consecutive 12- μm-thick sections, which were established semi-automatically. The segmentation values for trabecular bone were set at 0.8/½20, and analysis was done with a total of 208 consecutive six- μm-thick sections semi-automatically established.”
