How Analyze was Used
“Preprocessing included calculation of the T2* maps from the 3D gradient multi echo sequence based on the method proposed by ref. 49. The neuromelanin image (the image acquired with the first echo TE = 7.91), and the T2* maps were realigned to the 3D T1-weighted image using SPM12 trilinear interpolation. Manual segmentation of the rostral midbrain was performed using commercial software Analyze 11.0 (AnalyzeDirect, Overland Park, KS). Intensity normalization of the neuromelanin image was performed relative to the normal appearing white matter at the level of the midbrain excluding the predefined rostral midbrain area, extracted in each participant.”
