How Analyze was Used
“Muscle volume was quantified by manually tracing the fascial boundary of selected neck muscles using a computer mouse on every second MRI slice collected. Automated interpolation of the remaining slices was performed in Analyze Pro (Analyze Pro 1.0, AnalyzeDirect Inc., Overland Park, KS, USA). Interpolation accuracy was checked by visual examination of all slices and three-dimensional models. Errors were re-contoured manually as necessary.”
