“The bone microstructure parameters in the trabecular bones of distal femoral metaphysis were evaluated using Analyze 12.0 software (AnalyzeDirect, Inc., KS, USA) and presented as follows: trabecular bone volume (BV/TV: %), trabecular thickness (Tb.Th: mm), trabecular separation (Tb.Sp: mm), trabecular number (Tb.N: 1/mm), structure model index (SMI), connectivity density (Conn.D: 1/mm3), total cross-sectional area inside the periosteal envelope (Tt.Ar: mm2), cortical bone area (Ct.Ar: mm2), cortical area fraction (Ct.Ar/Tt.Ar: %), and average cortical thickness (Ct.Th: mm). Parameters are reported according to published guidelines.”
