How Analyze was Used
“Identification of adipose tissue was based on an attenuation range between –50 and–150Hounsfieldunits. Images were analyzed using an image analysis software (Analyze 6.0; AnalyzeDirect, Overland Park,KS). Differentiation of the subcutaneous (outside the peritoneal cavity) from the visceral compartment (inside the peritoneal cav-ity) was performed manually using the peritoneum, ribs, verte-brae, and muscular fascia as landmarks.”
