“The volume of signal abnormality (microliter) attributed to osmotic myelinolysis in the brainstem and in the deep gray structures if present was quantified on serial axial T2-weighted images (4- to 5-mm section thickness from spin echo or fast spin echo pulse sequences) using Analyze 9.0 software.”
