How Analyze was Used
“Left and right hippocampi were manually traced on the native-space anatomical images in Analyze software (AnalyzeDirect, Overland Park, KS, USA) by a trained research assistant according to established protocols. To increase the accuracy of the tracings, every slice was traced rather than every second slice. The tracings were carried out on the sagittal plane and included the hippocampus proper, subiculum, fimbria, alveus, and the dentate gyrus.”
