How Analyze was Used
“Fat volumes were measured using a dedicated offline workstation equipped with semi-automated image segmentation software implemented in the Analyze software version 10.0. Thoracic fat volumes included pericardial fat, intrathoracic fat, and subcutaneous thoracic fat. Abdominal fat volumes included visceral and subcutaneous abdominal fat. Intrathoracic fat and pericardial fat, which are considered as the thoracic visceral fat, were defined as previously described.”
