How Analyze was Used
“Kidney boundaries were manually traced using commercially available software Analyze 11.0 (AnalyzeDirect Inc.) and kidney volumes were calculated from the set of contiguous images by summing the products of the area measurements within the kidney boundaries and slice thickness. Non-renal parenchyma, e.g. the renal hilum, was excluded from measurement. Importantly, all measurements were performed by readers blinded for patient number and previous TKV measurements.”
