What is AnalyzePro?

AnalyzePro is a robust research software for advanced biomedical imaging visualization, manipulation and measurement. It has been carefully designed to provide an intuitive and facile interface that allows full exploration of biomedical imaging data. The software features integrated modules that provide access to complementary tools for fully interactive multi-dimensional display, processing, segmentation, registration and measurement of biomedical imaging modalities. What is Analyze?

Analyze is a set of image processing, visualization and analysis tools that provides users access to a breadth of essential post-processing functions critical for innovative research. Analyze provides users with all the key display, editing, processing, registration, and measurement tools needed to realize their research goals in a single multifaceted software package. Who uses our software?

Analyze and AnalyzePro can be used by anyone who needs to process biomedical images (including MR, CT, microCT, PET, SPECT, Ultrasound, etc.) as part of their research. Our user base includes physicians, scientists, professors, and graduate students at the world’s top medical centers, universities, pharmaceutical companies, biotech companies, medical device companies, and contract research organizations.

Who develops Analyze and AnalyzePro?

Analyze and AnalyzePro are developed by the Biomedical Imaging Resource (BIR) at Mayo Clinic. The BIR is a core biomedical imaging research facility, dedicated to the advancement of research in the biomedical imaging and visualization sciences. The BIR has been supporting physicians and researchers at Mayo Clinic with the development of novel image analysis techniques and advanced imaging technology for over 30 years.

What is AnalyzeDirect?

AnalyzeDirect is the exclusive global distributor of Analyze. We provide both sales support and technical assistance to anybody engaged with Analyze. Since the company’s inception in 1999 our purpose has been to serve the global imaging research community by providing tools that allow scientists to realize their research goals and conduct better research.

What data formats can be loaded into Analyze and AnalyzePro?

Both Analyze and AnalyzePro support over 45 file formats including DICOM and common radiological and neurological file formats such as Analyze7.5 and NIfTI. Both programs also provide utilities to load raw image data, should you happen to be working with a format not natively supported by the program. Can I use AnalyzePro as soon as I download it?

No, you need to request a license file for AnalyzePro before you can use the program. After installing AnalyzePro, run the program. When prompted, click Run License Manager. Go to the License tab and click the Request License button. Complete the license request form and click Send Request.

Your license request will be processed during business hours, Monday to Friday 8:00am to 6:00pm CST. Once your license has been generated, you will be notified via email.

Can somebody walk me through how to use AnalyzePro?

I am a software developer. Can I develop using the Analyze function library?

Yes, the Analyze Developers Add-On allows you to develop new add-on modules for Analyze using the AVW (A Visualization Workshop) image library. The library contains more than 700 optimized image processing functions. If you’d like to try out the Developers Add-On click here.

How do I get a license file for AnalyzePro?

To obtain a license file you need to submit a license request:

  • Run AnalyzePro.
  • If you do not have a valid license, an AnalyzePro Validation Error will be returned. Click Run License Manager. If you have a valid license, AnalyzePro will open. Right-click in the workspace and select License Manager.
  • Go to the License tab and click Request License.
  • Complete the license request form and click Send Request.

Your license request will be processed during business hours, Monday to Friday 8:00am to 6:00pm CST. Once your license has been generated, you will be notified via email.

How do I install a license file?

Once your license file has been created, you will be sent a notification via email. This email contains instructions on how to install your AnalyzePro license. Follow the instructions to install the license file.

What do I do when my trial license file expires?

When your trial license file expires, you will need to make a purchase decision. Go ahead and get in touch with your account representative to discuss how you can move forward with AnalyzePro and keep using the software in your research!

What kinds of licenses are available?

I’ve been a customer for a while and my license file has expired. Why?

Your subscription license has expired, please contact your account representative immediately to renew your subscription.

I am a new customer and my license file has expired. Why?

AnalyzeDirect provides an “After Purchase License”, which provides you with temporary access to the software until we receive payment from the institution. If your license file has expired, but you know that your institution has issued payment, please contact your account representative immediately to obtain a new license file.

I’ve been a customer for a while and my license file has expired. Why?

Once you purchase the software, licenses are issued in 12-month increments. This allows you to switch to a new or upgraded system to run Analyze on at no additional charge.

What is a maintenance agreement?

A Maintenance Agreement is an annual contract purchased with an Analyze license. A Maintenance Agreement is the best way for users to get the most out of the software. Maintenance agreements provide users with the following benefits:

  • Free upgrades to any new version of the software released within the contract year
  • Unlimited priority phone and email based technical support
  • Application-specific protocol generation
  • Up to four hours of live online training or application consulting
  • Discounted fees for any Analyze Training Workshop

Can I get training?

Our application support team works with users every day to provide customized training. Our team provides individual training tailored to the specific requirements of each user to ensure that each training experience is positive and productive. How can I get on-site training?

More organizations are realizing the value of bringing training on-site. On-site training maximizes your learning while minimizing your downtime. AnalyzeDirect’s on-site training is a flexible, cost-effective training solution that allows you to train as many or as few users as you need. To upgrade to the latest version of the software contact our sales team at sales@analyzedirect.com. If you’re unsure about whether or not the latest version of Analyze will provide any benefit over your current version, we encourage you to try the free trial of the latest version before making a decision. I have a current Analyze license. How do I get access to AnalyzePro?

Analyze customers need to purchase an AnalyzePro license in order to access AnalyzePro. Contact our sales team at sales@analyzedirect.com to purchase a maintenance agreement or AnalyzePro license.

I have an old version of Analyze. Can I upgrade to AnalyzePro?

AnalyzePro is a separately licensed product to Analyze. To get access to AnalyzePro, please contact our sales team at sales@analyzedirect.com to purchase a license.

Is Analyze FDA approved?

Analyze and AnalyzePro are not FDA approved. Both softwares are licensed for use for research purposes only.

AnalyzeDirect makes no representation that Analyze or AnalyzePro is a clinically approved medical device, and users understand and accept that any display, processing or measurement data obtained using Analyze or AnalyzePro may not in any way be used for clinical purposes. Analyze and AnalyzePro must not be used for any purpose other than research. Each license to Analyze and AnalyzePro is issued with a corresponding license agreement which is either accepted or declined during the initial use of the software. If declined, the user cannot use Analyze or AnalyzePro. If accepted, the following clause of the agreement referring to research use is also accepted:

You may only use the software product for research purposes. The United States Food and Drug Administration 510K approval has NOT been applied for nor received for clinical use of the software product in a clinical setting.
